SDDP Calls for Joel Koskan to End Campaign

Sioux Falls – As reported by the Dakota Scout, Republican candidate for District 26 Senate Joel Koskan is “is under investigation in a child sex abuse probe.” In an interview with The Dakota Scout, Mellette County Sheriff Mike Blom said the case is being prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.

South Dakota Democratic Party Chair Randy Seiler released the following statement:

“These allegations concerning Joel Koskan are deeply disturbing, and he should immediately end his campaign. While he will still appear on the ballot, the choice for the voters of District 26 couldn’t be clearer. Partisan politics aside, Joel Koskan should not be voting in the legislature on issues that affect South Dakota kids – or any issues at all.”

The South Dakota Democratic Party is working to ensure the voters of District 26 make an informed vote on Election Day and know this critical information.
