South Dakota Young Democrats
The mission of Young Democrats is to elect Democrats, advocate for progressive issues, and train the next generation of progressive leaders.
The Young Elected Legislative Leaders program – or YELL! – is a mock legislative event for middle and high school students from all across South Dakota. The goal is to bring students together to educate them on the legislative process and provide them with an opportunity to write and debate policy in the state capitol. YELL participants also have opportunities to become staff for Democratic campaigns as YELL Fellows. Stay tuned for 2024 dates!
