Chairman’s Note: While the Governor and Republican legislators continue to drag their feet, the Democratic caucus in Pierre is ready to move forward with the Medicaid expansion that will help cover some 48,000 previously uninsured people in South Dakota. Study after study continue to be published that tote the benefits of this part of the health care law, but Republicans in Pierre continue to stall the bill by demanding more information. We think we’ve got all the information we need: it will save lives and inject new monies into our communities.
