Democrats Respond to Rep. Noem’s Lack of Interest in Serving as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture

SIOUX FALLS – The South Dakota Democratic Democratic Party released the following statement in response to reports that Rep. Kristi Noem is not interested in serving as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture:

“As Agriculture Secretary, Rep. Noem could have been an important voice for South Dakota’s farm families and farm families around the country. However, Kristi Noem has never put farm families first during her entire time in Washington since she gave up her seat in the House Ag Committee at the first opportunity. It’s hard to believe Rep. Noem’s focus is on serving South Dakota in Congress when she announced her run for governor a week after being reelected to Congress.”
