SDDP Chair Ann Tornberg Encourages South Dakotans to Vote Early

South Dakota Democratic Party Chair Ann Tornberg released the following statement marking the beginning of the first full week of early absentee voting in South Dakota:

“This period of early absentee voting is becoming more and more important every election cycle, as more South Dakotans take advantage of the opportunity to cast their votes before Election Day. Busy work and school schedules and the possibility of unforeseen events and emergencies can make voting on Election Day difficult, so I encourage all those South Dakotans who are able to vote in this early voting period to visit their county auditor’s office or request an absentee ballot by mail before the November 8th Election.”

The voter registration deadline in South Dakota is October 24. Voters can check their registration and see a sample ballot here, find out more about voter registration here, and request an absentee ballot here. A list of in-person absentee ballot locations can be found here.
