Winning Bid: $15.00

1 in stock

This collection was donated by Scott Heidepriem.

Item condition: New

Description

Hubert Humphrey was born in Doland.  His father later started Humphrey Drug Store in Huron.  Hubert went on to a incredible career on the national political stage as a U.S. Senator, pushing Presidents Kennedy and Johnson hard on Civil Rights, later serving as Vice President under Johnson.  This collection includes six buttons, including three metal tab label buttons from the Johnson/Humphrey 1964 Election and a Humphrey/Muskie button from Huberty’s 1968 Presidential Election.  Humphrey would lose that election by less than a half-million votes to Richard Nixon.
