Description
Bernie Sanders began his public career in April 1981, just a few short months after George McGovern ended his public service. While neither elected service never overlapped, their political outlooks and ideological positions have always been closely aligned. Senator McGovern never shied away from the “Liberal” label and his belief that government has a responsibility in ensuring a level playing field for all Americans trying to work their way into the middle class is certainly part of the driving philosophy of our Independent friend from the State of Vermont. This lot was donated by Dennis Olson.
