Special subcommittee meetings will be held at three locations in northwestern South Dakota on Tuesday as part of the Legislature’s work to draw new boundary lines for the 35 legislative districts.
The first meeting Tuesday (Aug. 30) will be at Eagle Butte in the Tribal Administrative Building, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. local time. The second meeting that day will be at McLaughlin in the Bear Soldier Blue Gymnasium from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. local time.
A third, less formal meeting is set for that evening at Isabel in Sparky’s starting at 6:30 p.m. local time.
The meetings will focus on possible redistricting plans affecting the region and specifically the Cheyenne River and Standing Rock reservations.
