Not only is Representative Paula Hawks celebrating her birthday today, but she’s still relishing in her victory in the 2013 Legislative Beef Show at the South Dakota State Fair. She faced 11 other legislators in the show ring and came out on top. Rep. Hawks’ youth ‘coach’ was Mitch Prouty, son of Mark and Donna Prouty, of Hamlin County.
We would have put money on Rep. Hawks to take the whole thing since she’s got family history raising cattle (a glimpse she gave us during her campaign)!
