BREAKING – Instead of doing their job, Washington Republicans just voted to sue the President for doing his.  Why? Because the GOP wants impeachment, and folks like Kristi Noem want to walk the country down that path.

Question is – will Mike Rounds walk down the SDGOP approved path to impeachment with her?

GOP lawsuit is another step toward impeachment
Where does Rounds stand?

Sioux Falls (July 24, 2014) — With only two more work days before the August recess, Congresswoman Kristi Noem and the GOP controlled House of Representatives voted to sue a sitting President for the first time in history — and already South Dakota Republicans are pushing impeachmentGOPLawsuit

“When will Republican leaders like Mike Rounds, Kristi Noem, and John Thune forcefully rule out impeachment?” Chair Deb Knecht asked after the vote.

US Senate candidate Mike Rounds has not taken a position on impeachment since the South Dakota Republican Party passed a resolution in support of impeaching President Barack Obama at their state convention in July.

Suing the President is just more proof that the GOP is out of control according to Knecht. “Noem let us know today that going down the path to impeachment is more important than doing the people’s work,” Knecht said. But it’s still an open question where Rounds stands.

“The question for Mike Rounds is simple: Will you condemn impeachment or condone it?” Knecht said.

Why hasn’t Mike Rounds taken a position? Because pandering to the Republican base is evidently more important than putting South Dakotans first. And that has consequences for South Dakotans who are waiting for federal action on the minimum wage, equal pay for equal work, and college affordability.

South Dakota taxpayers are covering the cost of a frivolous lawsuit, and real issues aren’t being heard. As the GOP’s leader, Mike Rounds can put it all to bed.

Will he?
