Instead of chasing headlines, Senator Johnson focuses often without recognition on the less visible programs that make a difference in the lives of countless South Dakotans everyday. The Export-Import Bank is just one example. A self-funding financing mechanism for exporters in South Dakota and across the U.S, the Export-Import Bank facilitates millions of dollars in exports and thousands of jobs across our state. Republicans are obstructing reauthorization of the program, but that’s not stopping Senator Johnson from doing the hard work without recognition to continue this vital program.
