Chairman’s Note: Last week, Governor Daugaard rejected a plan to create state based healthcare exchanges because at a $7 million cost, it was “too expense.” (Let alone the fact that Daugaard wants to create a new $20 million annual big business giveaway program.) Now, Governor Daugaard is considering rejecting an expansion of Medicaid for seniors and families in need – an expansion that would be entirely covered by the federal government. Why would Daugaard pass this up?
