Bernie Sanders to Visit South Dakota Thursday

Sioux Falls, SD (May 9, 2016)-

The South Dakota Democratic Party confirmed presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders will visit South Dakota Thursday, May 12th.

“We are excited to welcome Senator Bernie Sanders to South Dakota. I think he’ll find an active, enthusiastic group of progressives ready to fight on behalf of our shared values this fall—open and transparent government that serves the people over special interests, access to quality education and affordable health care,” said Suzanne Jones Pranger Executive Director of the South Dakota Democratic Party.

Sanders will start his visit with a ‘Pine Ridge Reservation Community Meeting‘, doors opening at 8:45 am at the New Gym of Pine Ridge School (Pine Ridge, SD) 101 Thorpe Circle, Pine Ridge, SD 57770.

He will then continue on to Rapid City where his campaign will host a ‘Future to Believe In Rally‘ at Memorial Park (Public Entrance at Omaha Street Entrance) 5th Street Rapid City, SD 57701). Doors open at noon.

For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones. No outside food or beverages are allowed in the facility through the security checkpoints. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners will not be allowed through security.
