Our success is based upon the activities of our volunteers, people like you and me who believe South Dakota deserves a more balanced, non-political approach to redistricting. We believe that voters should select their legislators; legislators should not select their voters. I am extremely grateful to all of the volunteers who have stepped up in the last few months in order to help us in the efforts to provide for state legislative redistricting by a commission.

But we’re not done yet.  We need at least 35,000 signatures to ensure our SD Constitutional Amendment makes it on the ballot.

As the petition drive draws to a close, we encourage you to make one last effort to gather more signatures. If you are willing to help circulate, please let us know today so petitions may be dropped in the mail immediately and reach you in time to help.

Notarized petitions must be returned in the mail by Friday, October 30th, 2015 in order to ensure that they will be received in time for submission to the Secretary of State.

Please send all notarized petitions to:

SDDP

P.O. Box 1485

Sioux Falls, SD 57101

Or mail them directly to:

South Dakota Farmer’s Union

P.O. Box 1388

Huron, SD  57350

Again, thank you for all of your hard work! If you have any questions, please give us a call at (605) 271-5405.

Ann Tornberg,

Chair of the SD Democratic Party
