Chairman’s Note: South Dakota legislators are returning to Pierre next week to kick off the 2012 Legislative Session, and Democrats are again standing up for everyday South Dakotans. Our priorities? Restore stable education funding for our school kids; focus economic development funds on South Dakota businesses and entrepreneurs; and create greater transparency in all matters of state government. Republicans are right to have a positive attitude because of rising revenues this year. Let’s see if they’ll work with Democrats to make right all the wrongs they pushed on everyday South Dakotans last year.
