Sioux Falls, SD – The South Dakota Democratic Party’s food drive provided over 1,000 meals for South Dakotan families in need. We collected $260 in monetary donations and 245 pounds of non-perishable goods, exceeding our goal of 100 meals. The food drive was a part of the South Dakota Democrats Care initiative. Every month SDDP volunteers with a local organization to give back to our community.

“We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our food drive for Feeding South Dakota. This event could not have been a success without your generous donations. Putting our values into action through service is the goal of the South Dakota Democrats Care program, and this month our volunteers really delivered” said SDDP Executive Director Berk Ehrmantraut.

In addition to the success of the food drive, SDDP will continue to support Feeding South Dakota’s hunger-relief efforts year-round by volunteering and donating.
