SDDP Executive Director Responds to Primary Election Results

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Democratic Party released the following statement from Executive Director Sam Parkinson responding to the results of tonight’s primary and municipal elections:

“The South Dakota Democratic Party would like to congratulate all the winners of tonight’s Democratic primaries, and all the Democrats who have won municipal and local elections, and we would also like to extend our thanks to all those who put their name forward to run as Democrats.

“In both local and statewide elections, voters this fall will have a clear choice between Republican candidates like Kristi Noem and Dusty Johnson, who are firmly in the political establishment, and favor policies that overwhelmingly benefit the wealthy and large corporations, and Democrats like Billie Sutton and Tim Bjorkman who will always put the people of South Dakota first, and who will fight for policies that benefit all families, not just those at the top.”
