The Field Organizers are the frontline of our battle field! He/She is in charge of gathering signatures for the petition drive at times & locations determined by the Field Director. He/She makes the case directly with the people of South Dakota to raise the minimum wage. We need full time field organizers in Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, and Rapid City from now until November 4th. Do you fit the bill?
Responsibilities
Collect signatures at locations determined by the Field Director. Locations may include County Administration building, public assistance offices, & other public events.
Door-to-door & street canvassing
Volunteer training for Days of Action.
Qualifications
According to state law, you must be 18 years or older, a resident of South Dakota, and you can’t be a sex offender.
Outgoing: Ability to approach others with an “ask”
Persistent: Ability to keep going even when the work gets tough
Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks without losing sight of broad vision
