Kristi Noem: Career Politician

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –  In the final week of the election, the South Dakota Democratic Party will be reminding the people of South Dakota about Rep. Kristi Noem’s trail of broken promises and hypocrisy throughout her political career. Today, SDDP Executive Director Sam Parkinson released the following statement highlighting Noem’s hypocrisy about career politicians:

“It’s not surprising, given Kristi Noem’s broken promises on campaign financethe national debt, and the Farm Bill, that after starting her career railing against career politicians, she has become one herself.  Taxpayers have paid Rep. Noem a total of $1.4 million, despite missing more votes than almost any other member of the United States House of Representatives in 2018.  While Rep. Noem has earned over $1 million in Congress, average South Dakotans, who have had to show up to work every day, have earned an average of about $54,110 a year. Now she’s pulling out all the stops and calling on other Washington politicians to save her political career. South Dakotans are tired of career politicians that say one thing and do another, and that’s why they will reject Kristi Noem’s Washington-style politics on November 6.”
