Please join the South Dakota Democratic Party to welcome Monique “Muffie” Mousseau and Felipa DeLeon to Sioux Falls. The couple worked tirelessly to organize and pass South Dakota’s first comprehensive anti-hate and same-sex marriage bills with the Oglala Sioux Tribal Council in 2019, making Pine Ridge, where they grew up, the first reservation in South Dakota to take legislative action on marriage equality.
There will be a brief, casual program starting at 5:15pm, followed by an opportunity to enjoy refreshments and conversation with Muffie and Felipa about their plans for the future.
