Join the Pennington County Democrats for the Labor Day Potluck Picnic
When: September 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Old Storybook Island Picnic Shelter
(parking lot off Canyon Lake Drive)
The County Party will provide sloppy joes, buns, baked beans, plates, napkins, water and lemonade and utensils.
Suggested potluck items based on your last name:
               A-H – salads, veggies, fruit
               I-Q – chips, dips, snacks
               R-Z – Desserts, cookies, brownies, cakes

OUR SPECIAL GUEST – REMI BALD EAGLE
Remi Bald Eagle was born and raised in rural South Dakota and lived there until he joined the United States Army after high school. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers in a very technical field for a number of years and was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as a Combat Engineer. While in college, he was a field supervisor working on utility projects that covered environmental projects such as cleaning up oil spills both on land and water. Lately, he has served the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe as the Intergovernmental Affairs Coordinator and, in this position, serves as the liaison between federal, state and tribal governments. Remi is a Vice-Commander of Legion Post 308 in Eagle Butte and a Commander of the Tokala (Kit Fox) Warrior Society in the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.
