Interactive Web Site Holds Kristi Noem Accountable for History of Multiple Arrest Warrants, Ignoring the Law Across the State
August 30, 2010, Sioux Falls, SD – The South Dakota Democratic Party today launched www.kristiabovethelaw.com, an interactive Web site to hold Kristi Noem accountable for her troubling and habitual pattern of breaking the law and refusing to take responsibility.
By visiting www.kristiabovethelaw.com, voters can view the location and other details for each of Noem’s multiple arrest warrants, failures to appear and dozens of other traffic violations on an interactive map of South Dakota.
Erin McCarrick, executive director of the SDDP said, “We hope this web site helps make Kristi Noem more accountable to voters for the lengthy record she’s been hiding, including two arrest warrants. No one is above the law, and South Dakota voters deserve to know the full history of Noem’s repeated pattern over the last 20 years of breaking the law, ignoring court orders and receiving arrest warrants.”
Over the past two decades, Krisit Noem has been served with two arrest warrants, as well as tickets for nearly 30 separate violations, including 20 speeding tickets, many of which at dangerously high rates of speed. She’s also been cited by South Dakota courts six times for “failure to appear.”
The site includes a list of the extensive coverage Noem’s record has received both in South Dakota and across the country, including:
